    ADHD or Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a mental health disorder that usually begins during childhood and continues to persist as we grow. ADHD is commonly associated with patterns of impulsive behavior, mood issues, disorganization and difficulty staying focused for long periods of time.

    According to research, neurotransmitter balance can play a role in the development and potentially worsening of ADHD symptoms. Because of the way CBD affects our endocannabinoid system, experts believe it might help in relieving some of the common symptoms associated with ADHD.

    While such research is still in its early stages, a 2017 trial study titled “Cannabinoids in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder” supported the effectiveness of CBD in these cases.     The study noted that “this study provides preliminary evidence supporting the self-medication theory of cannabis use in ADHD and the need for further studies of the endocannabinoid system in ADHD“.
